Kara’s Senior Session

A few weeks ago, I met up with Kara for a senior portrait session at the Boston Public Garden. I’ve shot many family and engagement sessions in the garden, but this was my first opportunity to do a senior shoot there. It was a lot of fun to use the background in such different ways and to explore a bit of the surrounding area. Here are a few highlights from her session…

Phew! Ellie will be 19 months old tomorrow, so I just made my goal of taking some 18 month portraits!! My baby girl is growing up fast, picking up words faster than we can teach them to her, running, climbing, figuring, scheming….being amazing! We took some pictures of her and her cousins today in one of my favorite places, the Herring Run in Middleboro, Mass. It’s such a great little spot and the light is always amazing there. I’ll be sharing some pictures of Ellie’s big cousins (Hannah & James) very soon too!

Happy 18th (almost 19) month birthday, my peanut!

Paul James (PJ) is my Grandmother’s 38th great-grandchild! He arrived on Saturday, March 13th and I was finally able to meet (and photograph) him when he was 10 days old! I just love the newborn stage, when they’re still all curled up and wrinkly

{Ellinor} 16 Months Old!

The days are flying by. Winter is slowly turning into spring as my little girl inches closer to her second birthday! While Ellie took her first steps on Christmas Eve (which was also my Grandmother’s 87th birthday) she has been reluctant to give up crawling. Within the past few weeks she’s been toddling around the house, probably walking 50% of the time which is impressive! She’s still a much faster crawler so when she really wants something, you can bet she’ll be crawling towards it. She’s at such a fun age and I am cherishing every moment I get to spend with her!

Daniel’s Cake Smash!

Last week was a busy time for portraits! Another one of my “First Year” babies turned one! Daniel was a very “neat” cake smasher, he seemed to enjoy taking the cake apart but didn’t like the frosting sticking to his hands! Can’t say I blame him

Here’s a quick detail of Daniel’s cake. Caycie, my very talented sister, made this herself using Daniel’s birthday paper plates as inspiration. I just love how the cake turned out!
