{Ellinor} Nine Months Old!

I’ve known for awhile that nine months would feel like a big milestone to me. Ellinor has officially been on the outside as long as she was on the inside.  She is standing up, crawling around, saying some words, using baby sign language, recognizes her name, has favorite toys…she is one busy girl!  It is simply amazing to watch her grow, she brings so much happiness into our lives.  She is our heaven on Earth and a joy beyond belief.

I wanted to do something special for her nine month portraits.  The beach is one of my favorite spots for babies and families, so I reserved her first beach session for this milestone.  She had never really experienced sand before this.  She not only enjoyed the sand, but found it very tasty as well!

We started her shoot on the beach grass.  At this particular spot, all the grass seen here is underwater at high tide so I’m glad we had a low tide to work with.

I didn’t think I could love any smile more than the gummy one she had when she was a baby…but I’ll admit that the two bottom “chicklet” teeth can give the gums a run for their money.

Then we went down to the water for some real beachy photos.  I love the pensive look here…
