Today was the Filene’s Basement “Running of the Brides” bridal event. Since Filene’s is under construction, it took place at Hynes Convention Center. I am excessively fond of this sale having had three successful trips (one for me, one for my sister and one for my cousin). Today was unique as I went to shoot the event – it was so much fun to capture the chaos!
I was told that one of the brides (who arrived at 3:00AM) made this sign.
Lots of news crews show up….
Most of the “teams” come up with matching outfits or hats as well as signs for the type of dress they are looking for.

The first goal is to grab as many dresses as possible, then once you’ve tried them on, your team can trade for other styles…

One bride was lucky enough to find “the one” within a half hour of entering the sale!
